Hallmarking

At Siller and Gowd, we’re proud to comply with the UK Hallmarking Act 1973, ensuring the quality and authenticity of precious metals used in our jewellery. All items above the required weight threshold are hallmarked as a testament to their integrity.

We’re registered with the Sheffield Assay Office, where each piece is meticulously inspected and hallmarked. Please note, made to order items requiring hallmarking will need to be sent away for this process, which may add up to 7 days to your delivery time. If you need your jewellery for a specific date, we recommend keeping this in mind when placing your order. Items in our online shop that require hallmarking will be clearly marked in their descriptions for your convenience.

For pieces under the weight threshold, hallmarking is not mandatory, but we’re happy to arrange this service for you upon request for an additional fee of £45.
